For me the joy that students have in the simple discovery that they can dance is an amazing thing.  It is something that can’t be judged or compared to anything else. It is of worth and value.  It is significant.  I just want you to know that I see how you care for your students.  I appreciate very deeply what you do to prepare for your classes and how you help to create a good environment for them to learn in.  Thank you for helping make your classes a place for people to grow and learn what they can do.  Thank you for what you do to create a good environment for all of us to work in together.  It matters to me. -- KL

I want to thank you very much for all the wonderful coaching you have given us. We put it to good use on Saturday evening and danced our best. We made it into the final in the Championship over 45 and placed 6th. We were elated to be called back into the final with such an experienced and seasoned group of dancers. In Pre-Championship over 35, we placed 3rd of 5 couples. The first and second placed couples were from out-of-town and definitely younger than us. In Pre-Championship over 45, we won the event, first out of 4 couples. We won in all dances. Without your excellent instruction we could not have achieved this level of dance. Thank you so much. Thank you very much for your call last night. It is very nice to see how you work. Your call to us means a lot because it shows what you are made of and why you are successful. Even though we lost every time we danced last Saturday, we learned a lesson that we could not have learned any other way…Knowing that you are behind us makes us push harder and with confidence, there will be better days ahead and we are pretty excited about our dancing. Now you have three amateur couples regularly competing against each other... and pulling for each other under your care... how are you going to comfort the loosing couples next time? -- AC & AC

We have taken classes with other coaches for the last 4.5 years... none has impacted us as much as you have, so our one recall in Senior I and our silver medal in National Championship Senior II is all yours! There were 22 couples from around the country in that heat and we beat 20 of them! ...so it is for us the biggest event in our 5 year dance career. Thank you again! We could not have done it without you! Most of our competitor friends who have seen us dance lately have noticed our improvement... we hear comments like "... this is the best I've ever seen you dance" "... You guys are moving now"  "you're like a different couple" we always mention your name as the person responsible for taking us to new heights. We are excited about our future as dancers, and you are a part of it! We love you! -- AC & AC

Didn't realize until I got home that I went shopping with Number 165 still on my shirt. Thank you for getting me through my first real effort at ballroom dancing competition. The numbers (1,2,4,5,5,5) are arranged vertically on my mirror where I will contemplate them every time I shave of brush my teeth. It is my locker room thing. Not that I really need much motivation. Really, really looking forward to Tuesday to begin polishing. I mean Really…My personal dream is to discover that “keep your shoulders down” is no longer in my favorite dance instructor’s vocabulary. In my life, many people have stated that I inspire them. My situation and my outlook on it must give them a sense of inspiration to achieve what they feel is impossible within their lives. Sometimes that all of these individuals do not realize is that my attitudes on life are influenced by people like you. I could not succeed in what seems like impossible feats if people like you did not inspire me. You have given me lessons that will follow me in life and will help in my decisions throughout. I now know to always lead and never follow. To succeed, all I must do is know the tempo and stick to it. Most importantly, you have taught me that I must never stop and must keep moving forward. In all, I am now a better man. I thank you for your courage and your patience. I thank you for your enthusiasm and your encouragement. I hope that in future years, your students find that inspiration you have given me and realize that it is a fantastic and beautiful thing. -- ZC
